The marathon route features numerous spots to enjoy Tateyama’s fantastic scenery. Every year over 10,000 people come from all across Japan, as well as from Tateyama’s sister cities in the US and Australia, to enjoy the variety and beauty of the Wakashio course: For Full marathon runners enjoy Nanohana flowers in full bloom along the 6km-long Boso Flower Line, and the inland hills, valleys, the views of Mt. Fuji floating above Tateyama Bay.  Local residents will turn out to cheer the runners along roadside.
